The Summer Redesign

The New erraticwisdom is here

After a lot of work, I’ve finally gotten the new erraticwisdom in a condition that I’m willing to launch. This one is, again, going untitled so let’s just refer to it as 9. If you’re in a feed reader or article page, I urge you to check out the home page and poke around a bit (refreshing as necessary).

Hopefully, you’ll find the redesign a bit easier on the eyes and hopefully more functional. As always, let me know what you think and what to fix.

On a side note, my new MacBook Pro arrived recently, so I hope I can push out a review sometime soon.

Holy ****! That home page is one of the prettiest designs I’ve seen in a long whlie. Way to go!

Man, this is completely unoriginal. I remember my friend showing me something almost exactly like this on AIM like two weeks ago…

    Lame…very lame…

This is a very neat design! One thing though, is that I have never been one for having so much stuff above the ‘active’ news/blog entry. You have done it very well, however, and it has been much more functional than others that I have tried.

Thanks everyone! I’m glad you’re liking it.

    Tom:
I agree that the home page may be a bit busy. For those of you who preferred the previous versions, going straight to the blog may give you a similar experience.

Beautiful. I’ve been a long-time reader, mostly keeping to the sidelines but I want to commend you on your great work.

It’s amazing to be able to watch one such as yourself progress after all this time. You’ve definitely got a knack for this “web design” thing :P Keep up the progression.

A beautiful redesign, Tom. A very pleasing browsing experience – very clean and simple, I love such websites.

Though I must admit I did increase the font-size a bit because I was not comfortable with it, but the layout didn’t break after that and this is a good thing.

    Yay, thanks so much everyone.

Vlad: Maybe I’ll bring back the font changer from the last design.

Going straight to the blog does give a similar experience as before, but I have become accustomed to the way your website is now and appreciate how it’s been built.
