My Summer
First, I would like to apologize for the lack of updates over this summer. I have been incredibly busy, and since most of my work involves computers, I tried to stay away from them whenever I had any free time.
Tomorrow is the beginning of my sophomore year at college and I look to be in for another “doozy”. Alongside my normal course load (which happens to include the nightmare that is Organic Chemistry) is a research project that I am hoping to get funding for.
My mid-year posts tend to be related to my courses, so you can expect the upcoming year’s writings to focus on social and ethical values in medicine.
I know it is no excuse for the website’s almost complete death over this summer, but I’ve compiled a collage of sorts of my work over this summer. Some are my own design while others were simple coding jobs. I am proud of all of them.

I’ve got two more days of summer left before I start Organic Chem also (West coast schools seem to all start on Weds.). The course looks like it’ll be way more interesting than inorganic…hopefully.
Nice pieces too. I think they’re a good enough excuse for not posting! Summer coding projects are way better than summer courses (took an extra chem class and two gen. ed courses). Right after I finished school, I took on four sites and three photo shoots (can’t be picky when money’s tight!), so my hopes of starting fall without work have been crushed. I can’t wait to resume the juggling act!
Anyways, I hope you have a good semester. How many banks did you have to rob for your organic chem book? :D $200 for the text, plus a $60 workbook that cost $5 to produce. It’s not even spiral bound!

rabsteen: That looks interesting. I might have to subscribe.
Jon-Michael:
I too promised myself that I would cut down on the freelance once the semester began, but I’m not sure how well that’s going to work out.
I actually made enough money over the summer to not have to worry about it for a decent amount of time, so no theft or insurance fraud for me this semester (I have a friend who gets into car accidents mysteriously close to the opening of each semester). :D
