After two arduous days, I’m happy to say that I’m clinically living and my breath should be returning within the week. These last few days have been very tough and have made me wonder if I am a victim of illegal child labor. A quick check on the NYS Department of Labor archives showed that I have broken a few of the rules listed. I feel so daring!

Being under eighteen (I recently turned seventeen), there are much more restrictive laws in place. Instead of holding to the limit of eight hours per day, I actually worked almost twelve hours yesterday and today.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to file a lawsuit because it was actually my fault. One of my jobs assigned me the acceptable eight hours, while an unknowing boss at my other job scheduled me for an additional four hours.

Luckily, I only have four days before my vacation. I wonder what the weather is like in Florida these days…
