Another Redesign
I had a little creative surge this morning, and what better outlet to release it than my website. That’s right, this entire layout is approximately two hours old and will hopefully last a little longer. I decided to go to a one column layout (although keep an eye on Garrett Dimon’s site for an opposite transition) because it still is all about the content and what better way to feature it than give the impression of a page.
Unfortunately, I still don’t do colors, but I did go out on a limb (by my standards) by using a light shade of gray! The inspiration for this new layout comes from sites like Niggle and Powazek that have brought their content to the forefront without discarding the essential blog features. Hopefully, this will inspire a little more interactivity and discussions.
Obviously, this design is far from finished and I will be adding and dropping features over the next few days. Who knows, maybe I’ll wake up with another surge and another layout tomorrow. Also, while the design looks dead sexy in Firefox, there are the expected IE quirks which I’ll be getting to soon. If you haven’t already just go ahead and get firefox.

Nice! Would like to see the site name and menu back at the top, but other than that, no “complaints”. :)
I like the concept of sundries at the bottom, too. Been seeing it quite a bit since Powazek, but that must be because it’s such a great idea!

What’s up with 9rules and those awkward ads? I’m willing to put up with most ads but something about those ads is depressing. It’s like you’re begging. It could just be me though.

Again?! Good work as usual.
I like the content revolution that’s going on here. Everyone’s doing the whole focus-on-the-content design thing. Even me.
